SDN HQ Management Team, SDN Event Board; Livework
Alex Nisbett is a member of the SDN HQ management team and leading SDN Event Board. He was trained originally as a graphic designer and has over 20 years experience in communications, branding, digital relationship marketing and service design; developing customer-centered strategies, experiences and innovations for BBC, Mercedes-Benz, ANA (the Portuguese Airport Authority), IKEA, P&G, T-Mobile, V&A, London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Virgin Atlantic, SK Telecom and Vodafone.
‘I bring a wealth of design experience to Livework, having trained originally as a graphic designer and spending a significant amount of time within digital media including designing the first website for BT in 1993.
I have worked at some of the world’s most respected Service Design consultancies including IDEO where I was creative director of the global service design practice. At Engine in London I led projects for organisations including Vodafone, T-Mobile, BAA, Virgin Atlantic, the BBC Academy and the Portuguese Airports Authority, and developed the practice of service prototyping.
Most recently I was part of the team that designed and delivered the spectator experience at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
I am passionate about creating services and experiences that generate value for businesses and their audiences and help reduce the complexity of the world we live in.
I have been published in journals in the UK and Europe and am a member of the events board of SDN, the Service Design Network.’
