Sam is a Design Researcher at STBY based in London, having completed her MA in Interaction Design at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
As a designer and researcher she hopes to carry out design research that is meaningful, thought-provoking, and playful. Her background is in sociology, with a BA from New York University. Her work has been presented at the Microsoft Research Design Expo in Seattle, WA. Sam’s recent projects include material-led design research into graphene, and exploring the use of photography as a design research method. Together with Bas Raijmakers she authored the publication Viewfinders – thoughts on Visual Design Research.
